Fibrous joints

Fibrous joints have no cavity. The bones are joined by fibrocartilage (pubic symphysis, intervertebral discs). Intervertebral discs also contain a semiliquid "central nucleus pulposus" which can herniate through a damaged outer ffibres "fibrous annulus".
